The music is a very important aspect of Latino culture and Caribbean countries in these areas are dominated rhythms merengue, bachata and salsa course. These rhythms are so characteristic as the origin of the African continent, as it was in this place in the world where the beats were born later formed what is now known as salsa.

“Salsa” means ‘dressing’ in Spanish, has been popularly adopted as a word associated metaphorically with the taste, the joy and life force.

In 1933, the Cuban musician Ignacio Pineiro used for the first time a related term, an issue of Cuban titled “Take Sauce.”

In the mid 40′s the Cuban Cheo Marquetti emigrated to Mexico. Back in Cuba, with the influence of food spicy sauces, gives its name to set the Salseros group, with whom he recorded two albums for record labels and Egrem Panart. In 1957 he traveled to Caracas because of several concerts in that city was in Venezuela where they gave name to the genre and begins to describe salsa musicians to Sonera.

World music author Sue Steward says that the word was originally used in music as a “cry of appreciation for a particular spice or a single fast ‘, coming to describe a specific music genre than half of the seventies” when a group of Latin musicians in New York, began to examine the big-band arrangements of popular classics from the era of mambo in the forties and fifties. “

She mentions that the first person who used the term “salsa” to describe this genre was a radio disc-jockey named Phidias Danilo Venezuelan Escalona who issued a morning radio show called “La hora de la salsa” in which spread of Latin music in New York produced as a response to the bombing of rock music in those days (Beatlemania). It was lunch time, the dressing, taste, and of course, the Cuban son, guaguancó, guaracha and the montuno (musical genre).

All this came stomping Latin influence to many countries like USA, Mexico and Canada, and is also heard in continents like Europe and in countries as far away as Japan.

But where else in the country has been host United States in this country due to the large number of Latino immigrants who arrive daily, the sauce spread rapidly throughout the country and now it is normal that we have many specialized nightclubs salsa, and even schools that teach how to dance properly this rate so sticky.

These schools specialize in teaching Latin music like salsa, merengue and bachata, are very popular in big cities like Los Angeles and New York, and most striking is that it is necessary to traverse an entire city to find them but now thanks to the technology , we can find on the web, and so choose the one that best suits our pocket, our taste and our comfort.

So then if you want to learn to salsa like a pro dance, all you have to do is search the net a good dance academy, and in less than you think you will be dancing as all Latinos.
